Great Start to 2024 Season Leads To New Lake Record.

It has been a great start to the fishing season here at Lac Solace, even if the weather has been dreadful!

The rain has continued all year, and the water temperatures are still several degrees lower than I'd expect for late March, so I was dubious how the season would start.

I needn't have worried. The lake has fished very well in the opening 3 weeks, with weights continuing to rise, the fishing looking in top form and already a new lake record, and Lac Solace's first 60 pounder.

I have included a gallery below of several of the Solace carp that have tripped up in these first few weeks. But let's start with our new lake record. The Perfect Common at 60.04lbs, caught from Mac's on a combination of King Pro Liver GLM, King Sea Monster, house pellet and Maize.

Looking forward to posting many more pictures as the weather eventually warms up. Nic, Lac Solace
